Picture of the Book

Along with 23 other books, she is the author of “How to Write Winning Short Stories – A practical guide to writing stories that win contests and get selected for publication”   Nancy brought all of this experience and copies of her book to share with members at the South Jersey Writers’ Group October 2019 meeting.  Nancy’s informative talk focused primarily on the craft of writing, but also dipped into business aspects.

In her concise issue-by-issue presentation, Nancy dissected the common mistakes that too many writers make.  She then the offered the better alternative(s) in each case.  The presentation drew many of its ideas and examples from her book on short story writing, a broadly applicable guide for writers of novels and nonfiction as well.
