Thursday evening, May 7th, starting at 7pm EDT

Don’t think of this as shelter-in-place. You’re an artist-in-residence.

Remember the good ol’ days, when you could claim to be so frazzled with dashing to and fro, making it to various meetings throughout the day, running errands, picking up the kids, stopping to grab dinner, flying off on business, or just figuring out how to land on your feet, that really, the paucity of your writing output was easily explained away? Well… no more.

Of course, it’s different for everyone. But now that we’re writing in this strangely frozen moment of pandemic lock down, any one of us may be may be super productive or a little adrift. So, how has your writing life been?

We miss the SJWG Community!

Please join us for a virtual hang-out and open forum discussion with our members about the challenges of writing (and living) under quarantine.

What projects are you working on? How has your writing routine changed? What hurdles have you faced since March?

Let’s catch up, share strategies for staying productive and find a way to carve some dedicated writing time into this new reality. We would love to chat, but please feel free to just listen and use the time to get some writing done.

This event will be hosted by Gerri Mahn through Zoom on Thursday evening, May 7th, starting at 7pm EDT. Link has been updated for members who RSVP! You’ll need the Zoom credentials and instructions found at this link. Article Text by Gerri Mahn and Mark Doenges.

The meeting format is informal.Several SJWG Board Members will be dropping in to join the discussion. Zoom does not ‘require’ special equipment. At it’s simplest, one can call in on a landline. But the best experience may take a few minutes to setup if you have not setup for Zoom previously.
