Tony Sokol is the culture editor at Den of Geek, and the TV editor at Entertainment Voice. For 24 years, he worked at the wire service PR Newswire, mainly abstracting stories which came off the Associated Press feed. He was senior writer at KpopStarz, and ran their sister publication Daily Offbeat, which chased strange and unusual phenomenon by interviewing practitioners. He was the top reporter at Alt Variety magazine when the bottom fell out, and acting chief editor at the political satire magazine Smashpipe.
Sokol’s work was also published in Scare Tissue, Chiseler, and Coed.com. Best known for writing and producing NYC’s Vampyr Theatre and the rock opera AssassiNation: We Killed Kennedy, Sokol was an underground mainstay in Manhattan for over 30 years.
