From sketchy publishing contracts to wrangling your publishing rights to nerve-wracking indie publishing deadlines, join us to hear some entertaining stories from our regular members!
James Carpenter spent fourteen years as a member of the affiliated faculty of The Wharton School where he lectured in computer programming, system design, and entrepreneurship before retiring to write fiction. In addition to his novels, Nineteen to Go and No Place to Pray, his writing has appeared in numerous publications including The Chicago Tribune, Fiction International, North Dakota Quarterly, and Ambit.
Jennifer M. Eaton USA Today Best Selling Author Jennifer M. Eaton writes fast paced paranormal romance and science fiction. She is the author of the Star Bandits Series; the Fire in the Woods Trilogy, and the Aladdin re-telling How to Kill a Street Rat.
Kathryn Hively is currently seeking representation for her first novel, August Fades. Her work has appeared in a variety of print and online journals, including Ravishly.com, Prime Number Magazine, and The Museum of Americana: A Literary Review. She blogs at Just BE Parenting.
Tom Minder lives in southern New Jersey with his wife Paula, and writes novels and short fiction. He is published in various online journals and in the Beach Nights anthology from Cat & Mouse Press. His novel, The Long Harbor Testament, was released by Black Rose Writing on January 5th, 2017. The House Always Wins was published in October 2018, and The Ferret, was released on April 1, 2021.
